Bio: Julie Deans is a portrait and animal artist specializing in acrylic dog portraits. Julie works in acrylic, graphite and coloured pencil creating beautiful realistic and impressionistic portraits for her clients. An honours graduate from the Mohawk College graphic design program, Julie was able to learn more drawing and painting techniques through their illustration courses.
Julie currently works as a desktop publisher in the real estate sector, owns her own art & design business, and spends many hours training her dog Brandy, a Jack Russell Terrier, learning new techniques and behaviour modification practices.
Julie and Brandy compete in agility with the Agility Association of Canada (AAC), Canine Performance Events (CPE), the Jack Russell Terrier Club of Canada (JRTCC) and also the Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO).
